Creating a fundraising page
How to set up a public donation page, share it, and manage the money you raise.
On this page
Fundraising pages are public pages supporters use to give to your organization or a specific cause. The goal is to make giving as frictionless as possible.
Connect payments before you launch
Before any fundraising page can accept a real donation, your organization needs a connected Stripe account. Open Fundraising in the workspace sidebar; if payments aren't connected yet, a banner links you to Set up payments, which walks through Stripe's identity and bank-account verification. A page can be created and previewed before this is done, but donations won't process until your Stripe account shows as active.
Creating a page
From Fundraising, select All Fundraisers and create a page. Set a title (a URL slug is generated automatically), a goal amount, a layout (five visual styles are available, from a classic hero layout to a narrative-first multi-section page), a cover image, and a description of what the money supports. You can also enable recurring giving with a choice of weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual cadence; recurring donors provide predictable revenue that makes planning easier. The edit form also has toggles for whether the page shows a donor wall and whether donors are allowed to give anonymously -- see Donor recognition and the donor wall.
Donation pages from Pages
You can also add a donation page from Pages with + New page, then Donation page. The editor's Template tab offers four layouts: Standard, Thermometer, Impact, and Split. When you pick Thermometer, a Fundraising goal section appears on the Content tab, and the goal you enter there is shown above the amounts. The page does not show a raised total or a progress bar, because the page editor does not link a donation page to a fundraiser. Leave the goal blank and the page shows no goal.
Sharing the page
Once published, the page has a public URL anyone can open and give through; donors do not need an OrganizeOS account. Share it by email, SMS, social media, or link it from a canvasser's materials.
CRM integration
A donation doesn't create a contact in your CRM. When the donor's email address or OrganizeOS account matches a contact you already have, the gift shows in that contact's history alongside their events and volunteering, so you can see that a donor also attended an event or volunteered, and target accordingly.
Fees and compliance
A platform fee applies to donations. Stripe's own processing fee is taken by Stripe and is not shown on the gift. Donors can optionally choose to cover these costs themselves at checkout, increasing what your organization nets. If your organization is a political committee, keep your reporting requirements in mind: the donation form can require additional donor details (address, employer, occupation) for compliance -- see Donation records for where those fields show up on a transaction.
For viewing donor records, transaction history, refunds, and recurring-gift management, see Donation records and Recurring donations.
From the mobile app
Workspace owners and admins, and anyone whose custom role includes the donations permission, can keep an eye on giving from the OrganizeOS mobile app. Open Donations from the workspace menu (owners and admins also find it under Administration, then Fundraising) to see:
- Donations: the total raised, this month's giving, recent gifts, and every transaction with a status filter and donor search. Owners and admins can open a gift to resend its receipt or refund what is left of it.
- Donors: lifetime totals by donor, and a tap through to their gifts.
- Recurring gifts: every sustaining donor, past due first, with pause, resume, and cancel for owners and admins.
- Fundraisers: each page's progress, plus Share link and Copy link so you can hand out a page from your phone at an event.
Once your organization has taken a gift, a Recent gifts card also appears on the workspace Home screen.
Donors still give on your public fundraising page on the web, not inside the app; that is how the app stores require donations to work. Creating and editing fundraising pages, partial refunds, and reviewing held gifts stay on the web app, and the mobile screens link you there when you need them.
Why this matters
A well-configured fundraising page removes every unnecessary step between a supporter's decision to give and a completed transaction. Connecting donations to your CRM means you build a unified picture of each supporter rather than maintaining separate lists. Capturing the right compliance fields up front and keeping per-transaction fees transparent means you're not scrambling to reconstruct donor details later. Taking a few minutes to set the page up correctly saves time across every campaign you run.
