Phonebank campaigns
Phone banking is being rebuilt. What the Phone Banking page and phone bank actions show now, and where your phone numbers are in the meantime.
Phone banking is being rebuilt. The earlier campaign page and caller screen have been retired, and no calls can be made from your workspace while the new ones are built.
What you see now
Open Outreach in your workspace sidebar, then choose Phone Banking under Calling. Phone Banking also appears there on a phone, where it is the only part of Outreach shown. The page says calling is being rebuilt and links to your Phone numbers page. It still needs the phone banking capability on your plan: if you see an upgrade page instead, contact your account manager.
A link to the earlier caller screen brings you back to the Phone Banking page.
What your volunteers see
- Phone Banking in the volunteer portal shows a notice that phone banking is being rebuilt, and that your organization will share a link when calling opens again.
- Phone bank campaigns no longer appear in a volunteer's My Tasks.
- A phone bank action's page shows its volunteers a notice that its calls are paused until the new caller screen arrives. No calls are made from it. See Running an action.
The volunteer's side is described in Phone banking as a volunteer.
What still works
Your phone numbers and carrier registration are not affected. They stay on the Phone numbers page, under Outreach then Setup, where you can buy numbers and see whether each one is ready for calling and for texting. Their monthly fees continue as before. See Phone numbers and carrier registration.
Because no calls are placed, no phone minutes are used.
Why this matters
Retiring the earlier screens means nobody on your team starts a calling session that cannot connect a call. Your phone numbers and registration stay in place in the meantime, so they are ready when calling opens again.
