Using Campaign Advisor

How campaign organizations use the Campaign Advisor chat and recommendations to guide strategy and outreach.

On this page

Campaign Advisor puts your supporter data to work. It has two parts: a Chat where you ask questions about your campaign, and a Recommendations feed that surfaces suggested next actions on your contacts automatically. Both are available to campaign-shape organizations on a plan that includes the Campaign Advisor capability.

Chat

Open Advisor in your workspace sidebar to reach the chat. Ask the advisor questions about your campaign strategy, supporters, or content. For example, "How many donors have not given in over a year?" or "Which engaged supporters have never attended an event?"

The advisor looks up live data to answer: it can search contacts, pull donation totals, summarize a segment, list upcoming events, and pull in your active recommendations, all from your actual workspace records.

Your conversation is saved per user per organization, so previous messages are there when you return.

In-tool Advisor

The Advisor is also available as a drawer you can open from the top right of your workspace on any page, so it is always in the same place. Inside a tool it reads what you are working on: open it while building an email campaign and it can advise on your subject line, audience, and content; open it on your email analytics and it can interpret your deliverability and engagement rates. It draws on the same live data and guidance as the full Chat, scoped to your access, and keeps its own thread as you move between pages.

The in-tool Advisor is gated by plan entitlement and permission. If your plan or role does not include it, the Advisor button does not appear.

Recommendations

Open Recommendations in your workspace sidebar to see your feed, a ranked list of suggested actions generated from your contact data. Each recommendation includes a title, a short explanation, and a link to start the action (typically an email campaign pre-targeted to the relevant contacts).

The recommendations engine runs nightly and updates your feed automatically. Recommendations span several domains:

  • Fundraising: lapsed donors who have not given in over a year, and one-time donors still in the conversion window for recurring giving.
  • Retention: engaged supporters who have gone quiet for 45 or more days.
  • Events: engaged contacts who have never attended a campaign event.
  • Volunteer: engaged supporters who have never recorded a volunteer shift.

Recommendations are ranked by priority. You can act on one (opens the pre-filled action), snooze it for seven days, or dismiss it if it does not apply.

How the two parts connect

The chat can pull your active recommendations into the conversation. Ask the advisor follow-up questions about a specific cohort (size, composition, history) before you decide how to act, then use the recommendation's link to launch the outreach.

Availability

Campaign Advisor is available only in campaign-shape workspaces. Organizations of other types will not see the Advisor sections in their sidebar. The Chat and Recommendations feed are each gated by plan entitlement and can be unlocked separately.

Why this matters

Effective campaigns run on timely decisions: who to call next, which donors are drifting, which volunteers have never been activated. Campaign Advisor surfaces those answers from your own data without requiring a data team or manual list pulls. You spend less time searching and more time acting. Over time, following through on recommendations keeps your supporter relationships warm, your donation pipeline moving, and your volunteer bench engaged, so your campaign is ready when it counts.
