Reading campaign analytics

EmailUpdated July 14, 2026

How to read a campaign's opens, clicks, bounces, and other delivery metrics, drill into recipients, and export the data.

On this page

After a campaign finishes sending you can review its performance from the campaign detail page. Open Email in the workspace sidebar, select Campaigns, and click the campaign name. See Sending an email campaign if you have not sent one yet.

Summary stat cards

The top of the detail page shows five cards:

CardWhat it counts
SentTotal recipients the campaign attempted to reach
DeliveredRecipients confirmed as delivered (includes those who later opened or clicked)
OpenedRecipients who opened at least once, shown as a count and a percentage of delivered
ClickedRecipients who clicked at least one link, shown as a count and a percentage of delivered
BouncedRecipients whose message bounced

While a campaign is still in progress a progress indicator appears above the cards so you can see how many messages have gone out so far.

Aggregate analytics dashboard

The Email > Analytics section of the workspace rolls up metrics across all your campaigns.

Metric tiers

Total sent appears at the top, followed by a Deliverability group (delivered rate, bounce rate, complaint rate) and an Engagement group (open rate, click rate, unsub rate). Each deliverability metric shows a colored indicator:

IndicatorDelivered rateBounce rateComplaint rate
Good95% or higherUnder 2%Under 0.05%
Warning90-94%2% to just under 5%0.05-0.1%
PoorBelow 90%5% or higher0.1% or higher

Engagement metrics (open rate, click rate, unsub rate) display as percentages without a health indicator. Open rate and click rate are each calculated as unique events divided by sent. Complaint rate is spam reports divided by delivered. A rising unsub rate suggests your audience or message relevance needs attention.

Daily activity chart

An area chart shows sent, opened, clicked, and bounced counts by day. Use the range filter to switch between Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, and All time. The default view is Last 30 days.

Campaign performance table

Below the chart, a table lists each campaign with its send date, total sent, open rate, click rate, and unsubscribe count. Open-rate badges turn green at 30% or higher and amber between 15% and 29%. Click-rate badges turn blue at 5% or higher.

Per-recipient table

Below the stat cards, the recipients table shows every person the campaign targeted. Each row includes:

  • Recipient name and email address
  • A status badge (Delivered, Opened, Clicked, Bounced, Skipped, or Failed)
  • The open count and the date of the first open
  • The click count and the date of the first click
  • Send date
  • Error or bounce detail when the message failed to deliver

Filtering, searching, and exporting

You can filter the recipient list by status and search by name or email address. Pills for statuses with no recipients are hidden automatically.

Click Export CSV in the page header to download the full recipient list. The export includes name, email, status, open count, click count, first-opened and first-clicked timestamps, send date, and any error or bounce detail. You can combine the status filter and search with the export to download a specific subset, for example only the recipients who bounced.

Why this matters

Email deliverability is a signal your recipients and their inbox providers use to decide whether future messages are worth reading. Tracking bounce rate and complaint rate before they reach warning thresholds lets you remove bad addresses and adjust send frequency before your reputation is affected. Engagement trends across campaigns show you which subjects and calls to action resonate with your audience, so you can improve each send rather than guessing. Exporting recipient-level data means you can follow up personally with people who opened but did not act, or flag addresses that consistently bounce for removal from your lists.
