Browsing your events
How to move between the list, calendar, and map views on your Events page, filter what you see, and load more events.
Your workspace Events page is the working list of everything your organization has scheduled, plus any events shared down to you from a parent organization. It renders the same set of events three different ways, and the one you choose is part of the page address, so you can share or bookmark exactly what you are looking at.
The three views
Use the view switcher in the page header to move between them:
- List -- the default. One row per event with its date, type, location, and RSVP count. Owners and admins get a row menu for editing an event, opening its registrations, or viewing its public page; a team member with a custom role sees the parts of that menu their permissions cover: Edit on the events they may edit, and Registrations with Manage RSVPs for events.
- Calendar -- the same events laid out by month. Select an event to open it; use the month arrows to move through the calendar.
- Map -- events plotted by address. Virtual events and events without an address do not appear here; if none of the events in view have an address, the map offers a way back to the list.
Your choice is written into the page address, so a reload keeps it and a copied link opens on the same view for whoever you send it to.
Filtering and search
The filter row applies to every view, not just the list:
- Search matches the event name, description, location, and city.
- Time narrows to upcoming, this week, past, or all time. New visits start on upcoming.
- Type narrows to one kind of event, such as a canvass or a training.
- Status separates published events from drafts. It is available to owners, admins, and team members whose role lets them edit or delete events.
- Sort orders the list by date, name, or number of registrations.
Filters live in the page address alongside the view, so a filtered page is shareable and your browser's Back button steps back through the choices you made. Clear resets them.
Loading more events
The page loads a window of events centered on today -- the events closest to now, in both directions -- rather than every event your organization has ever held. If your organization has more events than the page loaded, a notice above the filters says how many it is showing out of how many matched, with a Show more option that loads a larger set. Search and filters apply to the events the page has loaded.
The New event button and the create action on an empty page appear for owners, admins, and team members whose role includes Create new events. To create a new event from this page, see Creating an event.
