What the figures at the top of a campaign workspace's dashboard count, what the voter contact, volunteer and fundraising cards show, and what you see when your role cannot see an area.

On this page

A campaign workspace opens on its dashboard. Beside your greeting, four figures sum up where your campaign stands: doors knocked, active volunteers and raised for the last 30 days, and your supporters in all. Further down, three cards break them out: Voter contact velocity, Volunteer activity and Fundraising pace. The figures at the top show on wider screens; the cards show everywhere.

The last 30 days

Doors knocked, active volunteers, raised and the three cards cover the last 30 calendar days, today included. Supporters is not limited to the 30 days: it is every contact you have today.

Days are counted in Eastern time (America/New_York), unless your campaign's race has its own time zone, in which case they are counted in that zone. Everyone on your team sees the same figures on the same day, wherever they are.

Each figure is counted from the records themselves (each door attempt, each shift, each gift) every time the dashboard opens, so it is never out of date, and the 30-day figures never count work from before the 30 days.

The figures at the top

FigureWhat it counts
Doors knocked (30d)Every door attempt your canvassers recorded in Canvassing, whatever the result.
Active volunteers (30d)People who worked a volunteer assignment or checked in to a shift.
Raised (30d)Gifts received, after refunds. A gift that is still pending, failed or was cancelled never counts.
SupportersEvery contact in your workspace today. Merged duplicates are counted once, and the placeholder contacts made for guests someone brings to an event are left out.

Calls and texts are not counted in these figures yet.

The cards

Voter contact velocity shows the doors knocked in the last 30 days and how many of them were in the last 7, the conversations (doors where someone answered and talked with your canvasser) with the share of doors that became one, and a note that phone bank and texting results are not counted here yet. With no door knocked in the 30 days, it says so and links to Canvassing and Phonebank.

Volunteer activity shows the active volunteers, the hours they worked on their assignments, and how full the shifts of your published events were: the share of spots filled, or the sign-ups where a shift has no limit. Hours that volunteers report themselves are shown beside the hours worked, marked not verified, and are never added to them. Manage volunteers opens Recruitment. Below, for the last 90 days, the card shows how many volunteers showed up for the shifts you marked, how many came back within 30 days, and how many debrief calls reached them, with the show rate your plans should assume, labelled measured or planning default, not measured. See Volunteer show and return rates.

Fundraising pace shows the money raised after refunds, with the change on the 30 days before; the donors (counted by email address), the number of gifts and the average gift; and the total for the 30 days before. View all donations opens Fundraising.

When you can't see a figure

Each area needs its own permission:

AreaPermission
Doors knocked and voter contactView canvassing results and contacts
Active volunteers and volunteer cardView volunteer activity and shifts
Raised and fundraising cardView every donation, not just your own, or View donation analytics
SupportersView contacts in the CRM

Owners and admins see every area. Without an area's permission you see "No access" in its place at the top, and its card says, for example, "You don't have access to donations; ask an admin." You never see a partial figure in its place, such as only the gifts you made yourself. An admin can add the permission to your role (see roles and permissions).

If a figure could not be counted, it says so and the card offers Try again. That is different from a real zero, which the card states plainly, for example "No gifts in the last 30 days".

What changed in October 2026

Three figures now count something different, so they may not match what you saw before:

  • Doors knocked replaced voter contacts, which added up running totals stored on each contact and could include work from before the 30 days.
  • Active volunteers counts the people who worked; it used to show 0.
  • Raised subtracts refunds, and team members without a donations permission now see "No access" instead of a total of the gifts they could see.

Supporters also leaves out event guest placeholders now, and the volunteer card no longer lists recent recruits.
