Phonebank campaigns
How to set up a phonebank campaign with a call script and survey, run volunteer calling sessions, record dispositions, and monitor campaign progress.
On this page
The Phonebank tool lets your team run script-driven calling campaigns where volunteers work through a contact list, record outcomes, and add notes, all from within your workspace. Campaign progress is tracked in real time and activity writes back to your CRM.
Access and plan requirements
The Phonebank tool lives at Workspace > Phonebank. Access requires the phone banking capability on your plan. Phonebank is tier-gated, not usage-metered, so there is no per-call quota. If you see an upgrade page, contact your account manager.
Setting up a campaign
Admins create a phonebank campaign with a call script organized into sections and optional survey questions. Both display to the volunteer during the call. The script sections keep volunteers on message; the survey questions capture whatever structured data you define (issue priority, volunteer interest, and so on) that feeds back into your CRM contact records. Scripts and survey questions are shared with canvassing, so the same script can power both door-knocks and phone calls.
Running calls as a volunteer
Volunteers open Phonebank > Call to start a session. Contacts who have been marked do-not-call, or whose CRM status is Do Not Contact, are filtered out of the queue automatically and can't be dialed, even if they're in the targeted segment.
The caller interface shows the script, the survey, and a disposition picker for recording the outcome of each call: completed, no answer, busy, voicemail, wrong number, refused, callback requested, or disconnected. Every call also captures a support level on a five-point scale -- strong support, lean support, undecided, lean oppose, strong oppose -- which you can use to build follow-up segments (for example, everyone who said strong support). Free-text notes can be added per call. Sessions track active, break, and ended states so admins can see who is currently calling.
Monitoring campaign progress
Admins monitor campaign progress from the Phonebank dashboard. The dashboard shows live caller counts and a breakdown of results by disposition. This lets you see how a campaign is performing in real time and identify if additional volunteer shifts are needed.
Call data and your CRM
Every call outcome, survey response, and note is written back to the contact record in your CRM. This keeps your contact history complete without any manual import step and lets you build follow-up segments (for example, contacts who expressed interest in volunteering) directly from phonebank results.
Why this matters
Script-driven calls let you deliver a consistent message at scale while still gathering the individual-level data that makes follow-up effective. Tracking dispositions and survey responses in the same system as the rest of your contact history means your team always has full context before the next touch.
