Using the Organization Advisor

How organizations use the Organization Advisor for workspace next steps, event follow-ups, and directional advice.

On this page

The Organization Advisor helps direct your team: it recommends concrete next steps and answers "what should we focus on" grounded in your own workspace. Unlike the Campaign Advisor, which follows a campaign playbook, the Organization Advisor is adaptive, because organizations vary. It has two parts: a workspace next steps feed on your dashboard, and the Advisor panel you can open from the top right of your workspace on any page.

Workspace next steps

Your dashboard shows a short, ranked list of recommended next steps generated from what is actually happening in your workspace. The first kind are event follow-ups: after an event, the advisor turns the outcome into a recommendation with a ready draft, for example "your meeting ended with 12 attendees and a 4.6 rating: send a follow-up, thank the first-time attendees, and schedule the next one." Acting on it opens the event Broadcast composer pre-filled with the draft. Nothing is sent automatically; you review and send. You can act, snooze, or dismiss each recommendation.

The feed stays out of the way when there is nothing to suggest, and fills in as your events and activity give the advisor something concrete to recommend.

The Advisor panel

Open Advisor from the top right of any workspace page, your dashboard included, to reach the panel. On a wide screen it opens as a column beside your work: the page reflows to make room rather than being covered, so you can keep scrolling and editing while you read an answer. On a narrower screen there is no room for a second column, so it slides in over the page instead and you can dismiss it by clicking outside. Either way, the panel header names what the conversation is scoped to ("Dashboard", "Email analytics", "Your workspace"), and switching to a different tool starts a fresh conversation for that tool. Close it with the X in the panel header, by pressing Esc, or by clicking Advisor again.

Inside a full-page builder — the email campaign and automation editors — the panel always opens over the canvas rather than beside it, so the builder keeps the full width it needs.

On a general workspace page it gives directional advice: ask "what should our team focus on next," "what have we not set up yet," or "where has engagement gone quiet," and it reasons over your real workspace, what you have set up, recent activity, and where things have slowed, to suggest next steps and new initiatives. Inside a specific tool (such as the email campaign builder) it gives help scoped to what you are working on.

What the Advisor helps with

The Advisor is built for your organization's work in OrganizeOS:

  • Using OrganizeOS: how something works, where it lives, and what to set up next.
  • Your own records, as far as it can read them (see below).
  • Drafting and planning your organizing work: emails, event descriptions, volunteer asks, donation appeals, scripts and member announcements.

It does not act in your workspace for you. It reads and drafts; you review, send and change things yourself. It is not a general-purpose assistant, and it is not a lawyer or an accountant: check legal, tax and election-law questions with your counsel or treasurer.

Rating an answer

Under each answer are two buttons, Helpful and Not helpful. Choose one to say whether the answer helped, or the other to change your mind. Your choice is saved with the answer, so it is still there when you reopen the conversation. A rating is only that choice: no comment goes with it. The buttons appear on answers only, not on notices such as the balance message.

Availability

The Organization Advisor is available to organization workspaces on a plan that includes the advisor, and to team members with permission to use it. If your plan or role does not include it, the Advisor button does not appear.

Each person can ask the Advisor a set number of questions an hour and a day. If you reach that limit, the Advisor says so and keeps your question in the message box, so you can send it again later.

Why this matters

Organizing is a long game of many small next moves: who to follow up with after an event, which part of the workspace has gone quiet, what to set up next. The Organization Advisor keeps those moves in front of your team as recommendations with drafts, so the follow-through happens without waiting on a single person to remember it, and your members, events, and momentum stay warm.

What the Advisor knows about your workspace

With each question, the Advisor gets a summary of your workspace: counts and what you have set up, never people's names or contact details. It looks up individual contacts, donations or events only when a question calls for it, and only ones you have permission to see.

The Advisor works from two different things, and it will tell you which it is using.

Live figures for your contacts, donations, events and recommendations. It can count, search and summarise these directly from your workspace.

Product documentation for everything else. Ask it about canvassing, phonebanking, petitions, your shop, channels or any other part of the workspace and it will explain how the feature works from the help centre, citing the article. What it cannot yet do is read live numbers for those areas — it will say so rather than guessing.

On automation pages, meaning the automations list, an automation's page and the automation editor, it also reads the automation itself: its trigger, each step in order with its settings, how many emails each email step sent and suppressed, how many contacts passed each other step or went each way at a branch or wait-until-event step, and how many are waiting at each step now. In the editor that includes changes you have not saved yet. It does not read email bodies, sender addresses or individual contacts. See Email automations.

It knows which page you opened it from, so "what is this screen for" is a reasonable question on any workspace page. On a page where it cannot read your records, it explains the page from the help centre and tells you which of your details it could not see.

How your data is handled

The Advisor sends the conversation, summary statistics about your workspace, and — when the question calls for it — individual records you already have permission to view, to the language-processing provider that generates the answer. The provider does not use any of it to train its models. Advisor conversations are kept as part of your workspace. The How your data is used link under the message box opens the full privacy policy.

The Advisor is an AI assistant. The first time you open the panel, a short notice beside its name says so; after that, the info icon next to Advisor in the panel header shows the same note when you point at it or tap it. It can be wrong, so check anything important before you act on it.
