Your member space
How to find your way around an organization's member space on the web, from the member home to each page in the left rail.
On this page
Each organization you belong to has its own member space on the web. It is where that organization's events, leadership, communities and giving live, and it covers that one organization only.
Getting there
Sign in, open Explore, open an organization's profile page, and choose Member space — it appears to anyone with an active membership. Profiles are covered in organization profiles and following; if you have not joined yet, see join an organization.
Finding your way around
The left rail starts with the organization's logo, its name and its web address, then Dashboard, My Membership, Events, Leadership, Communities (when the organization has one for you), Donate and Share and invite. Settings is pinned at the bottom, and most organizations show Platform under it to return you to your personal dashboard. If you also work for the organization, a Workspace entry sits in that same bottom cluster. When the organization has turned on its volunteer tools, the rail carries those too — My Tasks, My Hours, Canvassing and Leaderboard. They are covered in My Tasks, My Hours, and the Leaderboard and canvassing as a volunteer. Phone banking and texting are being rebuilt and are off the rail for now; see phone banking as a volunteer and texting as a volunteer.
Your profile, your photo and your notification preferences belong to your OrganizeOS account rather than to any single organization. Change them from profile and account settings and notification preferences.
Settings opens on Profile, which shows how members of this organization see you: your display name as it appears on your community posts and replies, and, if you hold a leadership or staff role here, your entry on the Leadership page. Nothing on that tab is edited in place. Choose Edit profile to change it, and remember the change applies in every organization you belong to.
The member home
The header shows the organization's logo and name, the line Member for N months (or Member for less than a month), and the organization's description underneath.
Four tiles run across the top: Events Attended, Forum Posts, Total Donated and Engagement Score. Events Attended counts past events you were checked in to, not every event you answered, so the number can be lower than the RSVPs you remember making.
Below that, Upcoming Events lists what is scheduled, with a View All link through to Events. Each row shows the date, the start time, the location, how many people are going, and an RSVP button; an event you are already going to is marked RSVP'd instead. With nothing scheduled the section reads No upcoming events and offers Browse Events. When you have upcoming RSVPs, a tinted panel appears with the count, the line You're RSVPd to, and a View My RSVPs button that opens Events on its My RSVPs tab.
Quick Actions holds five buttons: Browse Events, My Membership, Leadership, Make a Donation and Share and invite. Your Activity, subtitled Recent engagement, lists your recent RSVP'd to event and Created forum post entries with how long ago each happened, or No recent activity when there is nothing to show. Gifts are not listed here; they appear on the Donate page. Engagement Level shows your score as a number out of 100 with a progress bar, and one of three lines beneath it, from Get more involved to increase your score! up to Super engaged! Thank you for your participation.
The pages in the rail
Events has two tabs, Upcoming (n) and My RSVPs (n), plus a filter on the Upcoming tab offering All Events, Meetings, Social, Volunteer and Webinars. The empty states read No upcoming events and No RSVPs yet. RSVPs are not recorded in the member space itself: the RSVP button, and the RSVP on event page and View event buttons in an event's dialog, all open the organization's public event page, which is where your response is saved. What happens afterward is covered in event RSVPs.
Leadership has a Search by name or location box and cards grouped under Leadership and Organizers and staff, with your own card marked (You). Selecting a card opens a panel with that person's role, location, bio and when they joined, and a Close button. No phone numbers or email addresses appear anywhere on the page.
Communities lists one row per community with its name and description. The entry appears only when the organization uses communities and has at least one listed for you, so you are never sent to an empty page. How posting and replying work is covered in community.
Donate carries the donation form when the organization is set up to take gifts online, prefilled with your name and email, and a Your giving card below it showing Lifetime giving, Gifts and Recurring gifts along with the list of your gifts; recurring ones carry a Recurring tag. See donations.
Share and invite gives you your own link to each of the organization's public pages, its home page, upcoming events, sign-up forms and donation pages, with Copy link, Share and QR code, and below them Your impact: who came in through your links, updated once a day, and your badge. See sharing and your impact.
My Membership shows your tier name and description, a Benefits list, voting rights when your tier carries them, a Dues section when your tier has a price, and a Membership details block with Member since and Status. A Leave organization card sits at the bottom. See My Membership and Leadership.
If you volunteer
Volunteers see three extra tiles on the member home — Hours This Month, Upcoming Shifts and Impact Score — and an extra Available Shifts (n) tab on Events. Signing up there confirms with "You're signed up for" the shift, or "You're on the waitlist for" it when the shift is already full.
One organization at a time
Everything in the member space belongs to the one organization you are in. When the rail shows Platform at its foot, it returns you to your personal dashboard, which spans every organization you belong to and carries a different set of entries: Dashboard, Activity, Explore, Events, Volunteering, Elections and Connections, with your Inbox on the button beside your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Moving between organizations is covered in switching between organizations.
