My Tasks, My Hours, and the Leaderboard

If your organization has turned on the volunteer portal, three sections in the sidebar help you keep track of your work there: My Tasks, My Hours, and Leaderboard.

My Tasks: everything assigned to you in one place

My Tasks pulls together every outstanding volunteer commitment across shifts, canvassing walk lists, phone bank campaigns, and texting campaigns into a single queue, sorted with the most urgent items first. Filter tabs at the top (All, Shifts, Canvassing, Calls, Texts) let you narrow the list down, and each tab shows a count when it has anything in it. Selecting a task takes you straight to it — the shift, walk list, phone bank campaign, or texting campaign it belongs to.

My Hours: your logged time

My Hours shows your volunteer hours for this organization: hours this month, hours all-time, shifts completed, your day streak, and your average hours per shift, along with progress toward a monthly goal. Hours from completed shifts are recorded automatically; for anything else, choose Log Hours, then enter a date, the number of hours (in half-hour increments), and an optional description of what you worked on.

Your hours log is grouped by month — select a month to expand it and see each entry, including the date and, for shift-based entries, your check-in and check-out times. Use the filter at the top of the log (All Time, This Month, Last Month, This Year) to narrow what's shown.

Leaderboard: where you rank

Leaderboard shows how you compare to other volunteers in your organization. If you've logged any activity, a card at the top shows your current rank and impact score. Switch between metrics — Impact, Hours, Doors, Contacts — using the tabs to see the full ranking by each one. The Scoring tooltip explains how impact points are calculated: hours count for 2 points each, doors knocked for 0.5, contacts made for 1, and texts sent for 0.3.

Whether you appear on the leaderboard at all is up to you — turn it on or off from Settings, as described in volunteer shifts.

Why this matters

My Tasks keeps you from having to check four different pages to know what's expected of you today. My Hours is your own record of the time you've given, useful for your own sense of contribution as much as anyone else's. And the Leaderboard turns that time into a visible, friendly measure of how you and your fellow volunteers are showing up for the organization together.
