Notification preferences
Choose which emails and texts OrganizeOS sends you about events and meetings.
On this page
OrganizeOS can email or text you about events and meetings you're involved with. You control which of those you receive from your Profile.
Where to find your preferences
Open your account menu, select your name and photo at the top to open your Profile, and choose the Notifications tab. Appearance and leaderboard visibility are on the Preferences tab, and two-factor authentication, sessions and sign-in history are on Security.
You can also change the most common event notifications from inside an organization's member space: choose Settings at the bottom of the left rail, then the Notifications tab. See From a member space below.
Email notifications
- Event reminders — day-before, day-of, and 2-hour reminders for events you're going to.
- Event feedback surveys — a short survey after events you attend.
- Weekly event digest — a roundup email, sent Thursdays.
- Organizer broadcasts — updates an organizer sends about a specific event.
Text message notifications
- Event reminders
- Organizer broadcasts
Texts only go out if you've added a phone number to your account. Add or update it from the Personal info tab on your Profile page.
Meeting notifications
If your organization uses one-on-ones, trainings, or town halls, a separate section covers those: invites, day-before reminders, start-time reminders, cancellations, and reschedules. For each, you can turn email and in-app notifications on or off independently. Text notifications for meetings are coming soon and aren't available to toggle yet.
From a member space
The Notifications tab in a member space's Settings shows three of the toggles above:
- Event reminders (email)
- Organizer updates (email) — the same setting as Organizer broadcasts
- Event reminders (text message)
These are your account's settings, not a separate copy for that organization: changing them in one member space changes them everywhere, including on your Profile. For the weekly digest, feedback surveys, and meeting notifications, follow the account settings link at the bottom of the tab.
Organization newsletters aren't controlled here. Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom; use it to stop hearing from that organization's newsletter.
Saving
On your Profile's Notifications tab, every toggle saves as soon as you flip it — there's no separate save button. A small status line under each section confirms "Saved" or lets you know if something went wrong.
In a member space, flip the toggles you want and then choose Save Preferences. A confirmation appears when your changes are saved, or an error message if they weren't, so you can try again.
Why this matters
Reminders and digests are only useful if they match how you actually want to hear from your organizations. Turning off what you don't need keeps your inbox focused on the notifications that get you to show up.
