Joining a town hall
How to RSVP to and join a town hall, and where to find the replay afterward.
A town hall is a video meeting an organization hosts for its members — sometimes open to the public too. You join from a link the organizer shares.
Joining
- Open the link the organizer sent you (by email, text, or posted elsewhere).
- Enter your name and email if you're not signed in, or continue signed in if you are.
- If the organizer set a passcode, enter it when prompted.
- Select Join.
RSVPing
If you know ahead of time whether you're coming, use the RSVP control on the same page: Going, Maybe, or Can't go. It's optional, but it helps the organizer plan, and it isn't tied to a calendar invite — town halls don't currently send their own reminder emails, so it's worth noting the date somewhere yourself.
Watching the replay
Once a town hall ends, the recording is posted on the same link, usually within a few minutes to a few hours depending on how long the call was. If you couldn't make it live, check back there rather than waiting for a notification.
Why this matters
Town halls are how organizations reach everyone at once for the conversations that benefit from being live — updates, Q&A, deliberation. RSVPing helps the organizer prepare, and the replay means missing the live call doesn't mean missing the content.
