How to build your personal network on OrganizeOS by connecting with other members, and what connecting unlocks.

Connections are your personal network on OrganizeOS — the list of people you can message directly, independent of which organizations you both belong to. Open Connections from your dashboard to manage them.
Your three lists
Connections has three tabs, each with a badge showing how many are waiting:
- Connections — people you're connected with now, sorted alphabetically.
- Requests — connection requests other people have sent you.
- Sent — requests you've sent that haven't been accepted yet.
Connecting with someone
There are two ways to start a connection:
- Add by handle. Choose Add by handle, type the person's
@handle, and select Find. If they exist, you'll see their name and bio and can select Send request. If you're already connected, or a request is already pending, the dialog tells you instead of letting you send a duplicate. - Share your QR code. Choose Show my QR to bring up your personal connect link and QR code. Anyone who scans it or opens the link lands on a page with your name and bio and a Connect button. If you're viewing your own link, it tells you so instead. If you're already connected to whoever's link you opened, it shows a Message button instead of Connect.
Your connect link and QR code also live on your Profile page — see your profile and account settings.
Responding to a request
On the Requests tab, choose Accept to add the connection or Decline to dismiss it. On the Sent tab, you can Cancel a request you've sent that hasn't been answered yet.
Once you're connected
From the Connections tab, select the message icon next to someone's name to open a direct message conversation with them (or start one if you haven't messaged before). The overflow menu next to each connection also lets you Remove connection or Block — blocking prevents that person from messaging you.
Why this matters
Connections are what make direct messages possible across organizations — you don't need to share an org with someone to reach them, only a connection. See direct messages for how those conversations work once you're connected.
